As was promised to us yesterday, Quantum Break’s officially dated as of Microsoft’s Gamescom 2015 press conference today. The time-travelling shooter is due this coming April 5th, 2016 and it’s got a few new stars to add to the roster.
The game’s live-action tie-in show of the same name is also reportedly still in production and it stars Game of Thrones‘s Aidan Gillen and Fringe‘s Lance Reddick. Also starring are X-Men: Days of Future Past‘s Iceman, Shawn Ashmore, and Lost‘s Dominic Monaghan in the trailer below.
Developer Remedy Entertainment also had some more gameplay to show off at the conference with a tad bit more story then we’ve gotten previously. We learn more about the game’s trippy time-mechanics that can slow down and speed up a fight. Akin to Dontnod’s Remember Me, players can also reconstruct past incidents and memories in the field.

When it releases next spring, Quantum Break will be (for now) exclusive to Xbox One. The game’s notably suffered two years of delays since its E3 2013 debut, though this is the first time it’s boasted any exact date.
