Update: The trailer is now available in English.
Original Story: The extravaganza of the Tokyo Gameshow is alive and kicking this very minute in the heart of Japan and Metal Gear Solid’s not one to miss out. In the dramatic fashion typical of the series, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has debuted the more formal (though quite informally dressed) Quiet into into the game.
Quiet, as you’ll remember, was that, *ahem* “scantily clad” young lady that showed off “quite a lot” at 2013’s E3–quite more than a few folks preferred. It’s nonetheless a bit withering in the hot sun you know, but the thong? Quite challenging while doing all that fancy footwork.
Kidding aside, the trailer below (only available in Japanese) has yet to receive its American dubbing, but you’ll be damned if the game still doesn’t look gorgeous after all this time. In it, we can see Quiet kicking some serious butt, crashing in on Big Boss (Kiefer Sutherland) and Ocelot’s (Troy Baker), along with some OTHER guy…Metal Gear Solid’s Colonel Campbell, maybe? Regardless, can only assume the two aren’t thinking about throwing a beach party for their newest guest, though that’d be grand.
With the Tokyo Gameshow up and at it, fans might just be treated to more to come soon, maybe a release date if we’re very, very lucky. MGS V might also accompany some sort of new series collection if series creator Hideo Kojima’s latest clues prove true.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain releases for Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, as well as Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 and remains undated. It’s prologue, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, has already shipped over one million copies.
