Rainbow 6: Patriots ‘Still Cooking’ Says Ubisoft’s Executive Director

<p>Remember <em>Rainbow 6&colon; Patriots<&sol;em>&quest; Ubisoft revealed it in 2011&comma; but then the game just seemed to quietly back off and we haven&&num;8217&semi;t heard much from it since&period; Last time we heard about <em>Patriots<&sol;em>&comma; it was the news that it would be <a title&equals;"Rainbow 6&colon; Patriots Jumping to Next-Gen" href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bagogames&period;com&sol;rainbow-6-patriots-jumping-to-next-gen&sol;">coming to next-gen systems<&sol;a>&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Today&comma; though&comma; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;ign&period;com&sol;articles&sol;2013&sol;08&sol;22&sol;gamescom-rainbow-6-patriots-still-cooking">IGN<&sol;a> managed to talk to Ubisoft executive director Alain Corre about <em>Rainbow 6<&sol;em>&comma; to which Corre confirmed that the game is &&num;8216&semi;still cooking&period;&&num;8217&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;It’s an important franchise for Ubisoft&period; We want to make sure&comma; on this one&comma; like all the other games we’re working on&comma; that we bring it when we feel it’s perfect&comma;&&num;8221&semi; said Corre&period; &&num;8220&semi;Creation is not an exact science&period; When we’re happy with what we see&comma; when we think we can bring something new to gamers&comma; then we say&comma; &OpenCurlyQuote;okay&comma; this is a good time to release it&period;’<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>When asked if the game would still be called <em>Rainbow 6&colon; &&num;8216&semi;Patriots&&num;8217&semi;<&sol;em>&comma; Corre didn&&num;8217&semi;t give a clear answer&semi; instead saying &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;We can’t say yet&period; We’re iterating&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;
