Rainbow Six: Siege Delayed By Almost Two Weeks

Rainbow Six: Siege has been officially delayed yet again, but don’t worry – we’ll still be playing it this year and none too soon before Santa breaks into our houses with his own little gifts.

Originally dated for Oct. 13th, the first-person tactical shooter is coming this Dec. 1st. In a post to the Ubiblog, developer Ubisoft cited quality assurance as the primary concern behind the delay, improving such things as “weapon and gadget balancing, as well as menu and interface navigation” in their efforts to ensure a desirable co-op experience.

The game’s closed pre-release multiplayer beta will hit right on time, however, come this Sept. 24th for all its platforms: Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. The studio further claims that the extra time afterwards before launch will allows them the opportunity to better test infrastructure and matchmaking.

In addition, Siege will also come with two of its previous series entries for Xbox 360 if you  buy it on Xbox One. Just Cause 3 boasts a similar deal, including Just Cause 2 as an extra Xbox One as well. Coincidentally, Siege will now release the same day as Avalanche Studios’ third entry in its open-world action series.

Did you have your heart already set on picking up Just Cause 3 this December, or are you thinking about picking up Siege while you’re at it? Let us know in the comments below.
