Ray Tracing Added To Bloober Team’s The Medium

When Bloober Team’s The Medium is released on January 28 there will be ray tracing for those lucky Xbox Series X owners. This was announced at Game On showcase event where NVIDIA announced their partnership with Bloober Team and the implementation of ray tracing in The Medium

To quote the showcase event,

The Medium will utilize the full potential of the latest version of the Unreal Engine 4, alongside Microsoft DirectX Raytracing and NVIDIA DLSS technology at launch, to deliver stunning real-time ray tracing reflections and shadows to showcase one of the most graphically immersive worlds and most ambitious projects from Bloober Team. With the latest tech and support from NVIDIA, The Medium brings fresh ideas and unique gameplay, all with petrifying ray-traced visuals powered by DLSS throughout the horror game’s mind-bending challenges and eerie puzzles simultaneously in two realities.

This news really makes me excited for this title. Unfortunately I don’t have an Xbox Series X yet due to scalpers and Covid-19. Knowing this will make my want for one to grow, so I see getting one in my future if I can find one. I’ve been a Bloober Team fan since Layers of Fear, and really need to replay their take on Blair Witch
