As reported earlier, Rayman Legends is coming to the Wii U and there was some nifty gameplay shown off during Ubisoft’s press conference. New information on the game includes new levels and custom-tailored elements to fit the Wii U’s control system. There will also be a new character in the form of Murphy, a smiley blob thing who players can also control throughout the title. The game will now also support 5 players in its Wii U form as Murphy is played via the Wii U’s touchscreen control device. He’s a useful fella too by the looks of the gameplay footage as he comes equipped with the abilities to move platforms, beat enemies and reach for stuff Rayman can’t.
Check out the 2-D side scrolling, head banging fun in the video!
