Black Tusk Studios Creating “The Next Halo”

<p>Microsoft Studios Vancouver have been rebranded Black Tusk Studios&comma; and with the new name comes a mission to create &&num;8220&semi;the next <em>Halo<&sol;em>&&num;8220&semi;&comma; according to a spokesperson&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Studio Manager Mike Crump told The Vancouver Sun&colon; &&num;8220&semi;We are working on Microsoft&&num;8217&semi;s next big entertainment franchise&period; We&&num;8217&semi;re not working on an existing franchise&semi; we&&num;8217&semi;re looking to build the next <em>Halo<&sol;em> here in Vancouver&comma; for example&comma; which is really exciting&period; We are building something from the ground up&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Crump has previously worked for Electronic Arts&comma; while the current Black Tusk employees apparently have an average of twelve years experience working on &&num;8220&semi;AAA&&num;8221&semi; games&period; Despite Microsoft laying off several people in Vancouver earlier this year&comma; Black Tusk are currently recruiting and are looking to double the size of their staff within a year&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&lbrack;Via&colon; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;joystiq&period;com&sol;2012&sol;12&sol;02&sol;microsoft-vancouver-is-now-black-tusk-studios-building-the-nex&sol;" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank">Joystiq<&sol;a>&rsqb;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
