Red Barrels’ horror title, Outlast, is getting DLC that tells a story taking place before the events of the original game.
As reported by IGN, the DLC, called Outlast: Whistleblower, tells a prequel story in which players take on the role of the person responsible for the tip that brought Outlast protagonist Miles Upshur to Mount Massive. According to Red Barrels, we’ll ‘explore the asylum minutes before the slaughter, then experience the outbreak firsthand.’
New characters, locations and some history into the Murkoff Corporation will also be present in the DLC, as well as a chance to see the crazy experiments and going-ons that lead into Outlast.
Outlast: Whistleblower doesn’t have a release date or pricing, but you can still play the original game to your heart’s content, which is currently 33% off on Steam.
