Red Dead Redemption 2 Release Date Announced

Red Dead Redemption 2 has an official release date. Unfortunately, it has been delayed again. Initially set for the spring, we have a new release date set for October 26, 2018. This is the second time the game has been delayed. The announcement was made in a blog post saying:

“Dear All,

We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26, 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish.

We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.

With thanks,
Rockstar Games”

Along with this, we got a few more screenshots for the game which you can check out below.

We got a couple looks at the main character, Arthur Morgan. Plus we see a few of the side characters, such as the blonde woman who was shown in the last trailer. We also got a look at Dutch Van Der Linde, Morgan, and four others in tow. The other four members of the gang aren’t clearly pictured, so it is kind of hard to tell who they may be if one of them winds up being a character from Red Dead Redemption.

The game is set to release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There is still no word on when or even if the game will be released on PC or the Nintendo Switch.

What do you guys think of the news and the screenshots? Do you think John Marston could be one of the characters in the background? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
