The debut trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 has been released as promised and can be viewed above. It will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One in Fall 2017. The game was announced a couple days ago after a series of teases from Rockstar’s social media accounts.
The teaser trailer doesn’t show much but it looks beautiful. Plenty of shots of natural environments and the animals that inhabit them. One of the cool additions is the stars in the night sky that looks absolutely gorgeous. And hey, at least there’s still a train to tie people up to the tracks. Plenty of animals to shoot and places to visit, so this is definitely going to be a Red Dead game. There are also some nice looks at towns and a general store with a lot of people milling about.
But there is darkness in this trailer and it all begins with vultures pecking at something on the ground and a dog barking at them. Then voice-over kicks in pleading for a character to “run and don’t look back” when “the time comes”. What can definitely be speculated is that there are seven characters in the main story. The first teaser images featured seven characters, and the trailer also features seven men characters riding on horseback. Obvious allusion to The Magnificent Seven, but will we see a similar plotline?
