You can now register to take part in the Steam In-Home Streaming Beta, as evidenced by the new Steam group made for the occasion. The In-Home Streaming feature will allow users to stream games from one computer in the house to another.
According to the feature’s overview, beta members will be chosen at random to participate in the beta, which is set to begin later this year. As of the time of this writing, there are currently 17, 736 members in the Steam group. Steam users are encouraged to join the group, ‘have fun, and stay tuned for more details.’
In-Home Streaming is set to be a big part of Valve’s SteamOS, alongside Family Sharing.
