Sega and Double Fine Productions have revealed the release date and price of the upcoming adventure game The Cave.
Created by legendary game designer Ron Gilbert, co-creator of classic games such as Maniac Mansion and The Secret of Monkey Island, The Cave is an adventure game where the player selects three different characters from a cast of seven in order to explore a mysterious and magical cave. Although the game is primarily a single-player experience, three-player local co-op play is possible.
The Cave will be released on the North American PlayStation Network on 22nd January at a price of $14.99, while the European PSN will receive the game the following day, 23rd January, at a price of £9.99/€12.99/AUD$19.95.
23rd January will also mark the Xbox Live Arcade release at a price of 1200MSP, as well as the Steam release at a price of $14.99/ €12.99/£9.99/AUD$19.95.
Although The Cave is scheduled for release on the Wii U’s eShop, no definite release date has been announced yet.
