Last week, we learned just who we’ll be playing with in Telltale’s take on Game of Thrones and now we know just when we’ll set foot in the world of Westeros.
Following the release of the studio’s point-and-click adaptation of Gearbox’s Borderlands in Tales from the Borderlands, Telltale will be quickly diving into George R.R. Martin’s critically acclaimed book series as soon as next month for nearly every game system available.

At it was revealed on Twitter today, Telltale has revealed that the first chapter in its six-episode first season – Iron From Ice – will debut first on PC and Mac OSX on Dec. 2nd as well as Playstation 4 for North America. Its Xbox One, Xbox 360, and European Playstation 4 versions, meanwhile will be released the following day – Dec. 3rd. Lastly, the game will also be available on iOS devices the day after on Dec. 4th.
Set not long after the infamous event known to fans as “The Red Wedding,” Telltale’s Game of Thrones follows the House of Forrester – banner to the House of Glover and the House of Stark. Its five heroes will comprise the bulk of the season and tell their own story in tandem with the ongoing HBO TV show and book series.
