Raccoon City is going to be hit by a massive crisis soon, it seems. That’s right, a Resident Evil 3 remake demo will let players experience the game before release. The demo will be available at 12:00 AM. ET for Xbox One and 1:00 PM ET for PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam). Thanks a lot, Capcom!
RE3make Demo Content
The Resident Evil 3 Remake demo will let players play as Jill Valentine. She will be joined by Carlos Oliveira and the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service (U.B.C.S.) while they attempt to evacuate civilians from Raccoon City. However, Jill will also have to deal with Nemesis during the outbreak.
Additionally, the Racoon City Demo will let players view an exclusive trailer upon completion. So, now you have a reason to face the Nemesis while evacuating the Raccoon City civilians, Of course, considering how scary the Nemesis can be in this new iteration of the game; we can only expect to see a very difficult fight for survival.
The Mr. Charlie Challenge
As expected, Capcom will also have its own “Mini-challenge” for players with a keen eye. They did something of a similar fashion with Mega Man 11’s Block Man challenge. So, seeing something similar in the Resident Evil 3 demo is to be expected.
There are 20 different Mr. Charlie statues scattered all over Raccoon City. The player is tasked with finding and destroying all of them. While this sounds like an easy task, let’s not forget that we’ll have Nemesis stalking and attempting to take Jill’s life at every turn. So, will you be able to break all 20 of those statues with Nemesis hot on your heels?
An on-screen counter will help players keep track of their acquired statues and a final count will be displayed upon the demo’s completion.
Resident Evil Resistance Open Beta
Capcom also announced an Open Beta for Resident Evil Resistance. The beta will be available for players starting March 27. In it, masterminds in the making will be allowed to play as Daniel Fabron. Daniel is tasked with running twisted experiments using bioweapons and traps on a group of everyday civilians.
Meanwhile, players can band together as one of four of the six Survivors; each possessing a unique ability to help their team escape the experiment before time runs out. The open beta starts March 27 at 3 AM ET for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and 1 PM ET for Steam. The open beta will end when the game launches on April 3.
