Those in Europe who bought Resident Evil 6 through the PSN have reportedly been having issues with the game including loading problems and error messages.
Capcom confirmed to IGN that there are indeed problems affecting day 1 downloads of RE6, stating, “Essentially it is recognized that some consumers who downloaded the game from the PSN store pre-loaded (pre-order) or within the early hours of launch may be experiencing problems booting up the game. In short, early purchasers who tried to download the game from PSN store may have seen an error message, after they downloaded the day 1 patch. The patch has created an issue and prevents people booting the game.”
They go on to say that if users have only come across an error message (which occurs when attempting to load the game), to un-install and then re-install RE6. Furthermore, those who downloaded the game will not yet be able to play with others who have the disk version, nor will they be able to use RE.net. Capcom remarked that they are currently working together with Sony to deliver a solution to overcome these issues.
