Why is that? Oh, only because cutscenes will total an impressive 255 minutes. The popcorn bucket that kept you company during those MGS2 cutscenes will certainly come in handy (but remember to keep one hand on the controller for when those blasted QTE signals kick in. I can’t be the only one who played RE4 and had those ‘Oh, cutscene! I’ll just grab my glass of wate- what! I have to press the square no- Aw nuts. Replay’ moments. Oh the many times Leon suffered some horrible death because I refused to learn).

Back to the story, 255 minutes (4 hours and 15 minutes) of cutscene footage was sent by Capcom to the BBFC for a rating where it obtained an ’18’.

This makes sense though, as there are multiple story lines in the game thus each character will have a fair bit of screen time. Predecessors with one main character RE4, had 127 minutes worth of cutscenes whilst RE5 had 65 minutes.
