Our first report on Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D revealed the upcoming games release date. Since then we’ve learned all kinds of new details about Capcom’s latest Resident Evil series release. Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D is the first game of it’s kind, being the first Resident Evil game to shrink the battle intensive mercenaries gameplay experience into a hand-held console, the Nintendo 3DS.
What we know so far about gameplay is that the game will be very similar to the Operation Mad Jackal introduced in Resident Evil: Nemesis and it will be both fast paced and timed. The only real goal of the game is to defeat as many enemies as you can before the countdown reaches zero. We’ve also learned that the featured battlegrounds will be remastered scenes from Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5.
Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D has something for everybody and with a single-player option and a two-co-op player multiplayer option it should prove to be a fast-paced and combat driven style game.
