Capcom’s been digging out a lot of undead classics from the closet lately, but they do have one new Resident Evil up their sleeve next year – and it’s not Resident Evil 7.
An online multiplayer shoot-’em-up with high-powered guns and some nasty melee combat amidst a variety of player-vs-player matches, Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps is due in 2016 and sees you recruited into Resident Evil’s notorious Umbrella Corporation as a professional zombie hunter akin to 2012’s ill-fated Resident Evil: Raccoon City.
As shown off in the trailer above, players will be decked out with climbing gear, the ability to use zombies as human shields, and glorified repellant for the undead called a “Zombie Jammer.” The game includes a 3v3 One Life Match mode, which will be playable at Tokyo Game Show this weekend.
The downloadable game is going for $29.99 and will come out for PC and Playstation 4 in 2016 in the same calendar year that we get Resident Evil 0 HD.
