Resistance: Burning Skies is available on store shelves and via the PSN today. To mark the occasion, Sony has released a multi-player trailer and released details about “near” functionality.
Players will have to chance to become “infected” with a strain of the Chimera virus while playing multi-player. This particular strain will grant players in-game XP multipliers. This means that for a limited time, players will have the ability to earn double and even triple XP towards gaining new levels and upgrades.
One a player is infected, they can spread the virus to friends or drop off the infection using “near.” On that same note, players will be able to pick up the infection using “near.”
