Respawn Entertainment’s Debut Title Revealed to be Called Titanfall

The debut title from Respawn Entertainment has been leaked prematurely, as those that are subscribed to Game Informer, and use an Android device to view it, were treated to a look at the magazine’s next cover story. A cover that shows a game called Titanfall with text at the bottom that reads, “After a bitter split with Activision and Call of Duty, Respawn debuts its bold vision for next-gen multiplayer.”

According to this NeoGAF post, Titanfall is set to come to the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC next year, but the Xbox 360 version is being developed by another studio. Apparently, Titanfall was planned for current gen systems, but Respawn found that the hardware couldn’t run it properly.

Titanfall, which is said to be a 1st person shooter, will have campaign multiplayer, traditional multiplayer and a ‘one-player mode.’ It will also heavily utilize the Cloud for dedicated servers, physics and AI calculations.

With this upcoming Game Informer story and E3 just around the corner we can certainly expect a lot of information to be released, and discussed, soon.
