Retro Studios Ranked Highest to Helm Next Metroid Game

<p>Quite a few<em> Metroid<&sol;em> fans were disappointed at this years&&num;8217&semi;s E3 mini Nintendo event&comma; because the only game <a title&equals;"Retro Will Be Strongly Considred for the Next Metroid Game" href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;ign&period;com&sol;articles&sol;2013&sol;09&sol;20&sol;retro-will-be-strongly-considered-for-the-next-metroid-game">Retro studios<&sol;a> is working on is another entry in the<em> Donkey Kong Country<&sol;em> series&period;  While another Metroid installment is in the cards its not not quite set in stone as far as storyline&comma; game play&comma; etc&period; are involved to get the wheels in motion for a new Metrtoid&period;  Shigeru Miyamoto&comma; Zelda and Mario creator and head of Nintendo&&num;8217&semi;s Entertainment Analysis and Development division said that Retro Studios would be given strong consideration for the next Metroid game&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>As far as Retro is concerned&comma; Miyamoto says that it has come to a point for them where they will have  multiple lines running at the same with different projects moving forward&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<blockquote><p><strong>&&num;8220&semi;Retro is a very capable studio and can design a lot of different types of games and I know that because I produced Metroid Prime&comma;&&num;8221&semi; said Miyamoto&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;p><&sol;blockquote>&NewLine;<p>The Metroid Prime trilogy did very well on the GameCube and Wii platforms and helped develop Retro as one of the devolopers who reallly understood Metroid&comma; its world&comma; characters&comma; and first person shooter style of game play&period;  Miyamoto said that Nintendo thinks highly of the Metroid series and one that is of high value and worthy of seeing where things could go next for Samus and company&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The last console Metroid game was<em> Metroid&colon; Other M<&sol;em> developed by Team Ninja&period;  Other M received fair reviews but didn&&num;8217&semi;t manage to capture the thrills of the previous Prime trilogy&period;  Retro made their last Metroid installment in Metroid Prime 3&colon; Corruption which received rave reviews&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>So far there is no new of any new Metroid games in the pipeline but we will keep you posted&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&lbrace;Source&colon; <strong>IGN<&sol;strong>&rcub;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
