Revolution Software has started a Kickstarter fundraiser to aid in the development of the next game in the Broken Sword series.
Funding of the Kickstarter program will earn donating participants a wealth of bonuses starting at a digital download of the game following release for a $15 or greater donation. Higher tiers of donations will include an opportunity to own original art work for the game, signed game design documents, personalized drawings from the art team, personalized messages from the game’s actors, a mention in the game, and a wealth of merchandise and apparel.
“The process of game development has previously been remote from our fans, explained Charles Cecil, managing director of Revolution Software. “By self publishing, we now have a direct relationship with our audience – a position that we value enormously.”
“We’re delighted that the latest Broken Sword title is to be the first of our adventures that we can take with our fans. By pledging support now, we’ll be going on a journey which will end when the opening credits roll – it’s going to be excellent.”

This will be the fifth game in the series. It has an early 2013 release date planned, and will be available on PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
