The oft-rumored Xbox 720 has a new rumor floating around today. According to a leaked document that first appeared on Scridb and subsequently removed at the request of the law firm of Covington & Burling LLP, the 56-page PowerPoint offers some rumored specs on the next Xbox.
The Xbox 720 will supposedly offer four to six times more visual horsepower than the Xbox 360. It will also be backwards-compatible with the Xbox 360. An updated version of Kinect, with four-player support and improved features for voice recognition and the amount of space required to play will be included in the packaging.
According to the document, the Xbox 720 will offer Blu-ray support, USB 3.0 inputs, HDMI, built-in Wi-Fi using the 802.11n standard and much more. There was also mention of AR glasses – called Fortaleza Glasses. The August 2010 document claims the console will launch in late 2013 and cost $299.
Of course all of this is pure speculation with no firm proof.
