Square Enix has made a statement on whether same-sex marriage will be implemented into Final Fantasy XIV, saying that same-sex marriage is an “extremely controversial topic”.
Whilst no final decisions have been made, Square Enix have stated that they will listen to feedback from players in order to make their final decision.
Whilst it’s nice to hear that a developer such as Square Enix are allowing fans to have a say in what goes into games are you for or against same-sex marriage in games?
