Nintendo 3DS Direct: New Updates & Games Announced

<p>Yesterday&&num;8217&semi;s Nintendo 3DS Direct revealed the release plans for the fun&comma; handheld console&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Among many of the announced games&comma; came some new info for famous franchises&comma; especially for <em>Super Mario&comma; The Legend of Zelda<&sol;em> and <em>Animal Crossing<&sol;em>&period; A few Wii U games are being ported to the Nintendo 3DS&colon; <em>Super Mario Maker<&sol;em> and<em> Yoshi&&num;8217&semi;s Wooly World<&sol;em>&period; <em>Pikmin <&sol;em>will also be coming to 3DS&comma; which is a rare sight as it is often console-exclusive&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<figure id&equals;"attachment&lowbar;112354" aria-describedby&equals;"caption-attachment-112354" style&equals;"width&colon; and the ability for players to collaborate with levels online&period; Instead of the Wii U&&num;8217&semi;s idea of using the global community of players to share and play through each others&&num;8217&semi; levels&comma; the 3DS version is focusing on local play&period; Players will be able to share completed courses with each other locally and through StreetPass&period; <em>Super Mario Maker<&sol;em> for the 3DS is launching this December&excl;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Poochy and Yoshi&&num;8217&semi;s Wooly World<&sol;em> will have 3DS exclusive new stages and the ability for Yoshi to us little adorable Poochies to complete levels&period; This game will be released sometime in 2017&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bagogames&period;com&sol;pikmin-nintendo-3ds-will-released-2017&sol;"><em>Pikmin<&sol;em> for the 3DS<&sol;a> will also be released in 2017&period; The official title was not given during today&&num;8217&semi;s direct&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Nintendo 3DS&&num;8217&semi;s Mii Plaza Update lets players have up to 100 Streetpass Tags before reading through messages&comma; unlike the previous 10 tag limit&period; Also&comma; Nintendo is adjusting the wait time in Mii Plaza by offering quicker loading times in a separate Plaza&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The beloved <em>Animal Crossing&colon; New Leaf<&sol;em> will have an extra special update available this Christmas Season&period; The update will allow players to use the <em>Animal Crossing<&sol;em> Amiibo and Amiibo cards in the game&period; <em>Wind Waker<&sol;em> Toon Link and Zelda&comma; 8-Bit Link and <em>Ocarina of Time<&sol;em> Link will act as their regular Amiibo counterparts&period; However&comma; these new Amiibo will have special functions in next year&&num;8217&semi;s <em>Breath of the Wild<&sol;em> game&period; In case these Amiibo aren&&num;8217&semi;t enough for hardcore collectors to look forward to&comma; a collaboration with Dark Horse Comics is producing three<em> Legend of Zelda<&sol;em> books&period;
