Ongoing franchises are nothing new to the gaming industry. Heck, I’m pretty sure if you were took look at all the upcoming titles; I guarantee majority of them is sequel of some kind. One particular franchise, Resident Evil, is getting an “eighth’ installment, but we all know that isn’t the case. The Resident Evil is a long ongoing franchise that has more than 10 installments and will probably get more in the future.

That got us thinking about other ongoing franchises like Assassin’s Creed, CoD, and FIFA. Looking back at those titles made us realize how long they’ve been going and seeing the side effects of that. Some franchises grown stale, lost it’s identity, sour past entries, or all of the above. Some people believe that these franchises should have ended way before it’s 100 billionth installment. While others are okay with a franchise never ending.

Where do we stand on this? Well, that what we will be discussing/debating in today’s episode! To determine, if ongoing franchises should end.
