Yacht Club Games with the help of popular gaming YouTubers Game Grumps have announced that Shovel Knight will be getting an amiibo.
The new amiibo will unlock co-op, new relics, new abilities, new powers, customization, and exclusive stages that have players use the new amiibo abilities.
Yacht Club Games have also mentioned an interesting little tidbit at the end of their blog update. The developer said, “We plan to continue support of the Shovel Knight amiibo in future Yacht Club Games and Nintendo products!” What future Nintendo products will he appear on? I have a hunch, but what do you think?
Shovel Knight‘s free DLC, Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows, is expected to release soon for all of the platforms the game is on. No release date has been given for Shovel Knight‘s amiibo.
