Firaxis Games have announced that they are working on Sid Meier’s Civlization Revolution 2 for release later this year. Whilst the original Civilisation Revolution came out for Xbox 360, PS3, mobile and Nintendo DS, this sequel will be for mobile platforms only. The franchise has traditionally focused on the PC but this spin off will have graphics and controls tailored specifically for iOS and Android platforms.
Just like the main games, Civilization Revolution 2 is a turn based strategy title that lets players guide their faction through Earth’s history and into the future. As well as all the leaders from the first game, this follow up will add new historical figures such as Winston Churchill and J.F.K.
Sid Meirer’s Civilization Revolution 2 will launch on iOS on July 2 and will come to Android at a later date.
