EA has announced that the first piece of DLC for SimCity will be the “Nissan LEAF Charging Station” for the generous price of FREE!
The in-game item is said to make your Sims happier as it produces no sewage or garbage when placed within your city, a handy item indeed for anyone enjoying the latest entry into the SimCity franchise. Sims living in your city will drive their Nissan LEAF cars into the charging station in order to re-charge them.
To grab your free DLC you’ll need to do one of three things:
- Click the advertisement in-game to access the SimCity launcher which will take you to the SimCity Origin DLC page
- Click the billboard on the menu screen which will take you to the SimCity Original DLC page using the in-game online browser

EA also made sure to confirm that the DLC content is available worldwide and will be available to download for a total of six months in which you can access it at any time as long as you download it meaning you have until October 2nd (the promotion started yesterday) to grab your power-saving helper.
