The Simpsons Meet…The Simpsons

<p>While <em><strong>The Simpsons<&sol;strong><&sol;em> are already crossing paths with the characters on both <em><strong>Family Guy<&sol;strong><&sol;em> and <em><strong>Futurama<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&comma; it seems they have yet another universe to crossover&period; However&comma; this time they&&num;8217&semi;ll actually be crossing paths with themselves in one of the most strangely meta episodes yet&period; This year&&num;8217&semi;s Treehouse of Horror special will find the modern Simpsons being haunted by ghosts of <em><strong>The Tracey Ullman Show<&sol;strong><&sol;em> designed Simpsons&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The yellow family first debuted on <em><strong>The Tracey Ullman Show<&sol;strong><&sol;em> in 1987 with crude and sketchy designs that improved over time before the series pilot hit <em><strong>Fox<&sol;strong><&sol;em> in 1989&period;  The explanation for this version of the characters being ghosts seems like a plot straight out of an online creepypasta&period; According to series executive producer <em><strong>Al Jean<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&comma; the old characters were murdered and buried under the house&period; These ghosts will be voiced by the same cast&comma; but they&&num;8217&semi;ll be doing their best to try to nail their original voices when they first started recording the cartoon&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>The Simpsons<&sol;strong><&sol;em>&&num;8216&semi; Treehouse of Horror episode will air on <strong>October 19<&sol;strong> on <strong>Fox<&sol;strong>&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Source&colon; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;insidetv&period;ew&period;com&sol;2014&sol;09&sol;10&sol;simpsons-tracey-ullman-show-treehouse-of-horror&sol;">EW<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
