The prolific RTS publisher Paradox Interactive is boldly going where only some companies have gone before. At Gamescom, the Swedish firm announced new expansions to their historical strategy titles Crusader Kings 2 and Europa Universalis 4. Now they are taking the cosmic route with Ancient Space, a new RTS that is entirely focused on the single player campaign.
Devloped by Polish studio Creative Forge Games, Ancient Space puts players in command of a fleet charged with exploring the edges of the known universe. According to Paradox,”a rich and compelling story will guide the player as they build and upgrade their fleets and then survive overwhelming odds in deadly strategic missions”. The story will be voiced by a number of famous sci-fi actors including Ron Glass who played Shepherd Book in Firefly and John Billingsley who played Doctor Phlox in Star Trek: Enterprise.
Ancient Space is due to release for PC later this year.
