We’ve reported in the past that Skylanders is an amazing franchise which has made a lot of money. And when we say a lot of money we mean a lot.
Recently however, Activision have released more interesting figures regarding the Skylanders series. As point of reference, we’ve summarised the comparisons and figures below:
- Over $1 Billion total sales
- Over 100 million toys sold
- 211,864 toys sold on average per day (More than twice the amount the average heart beats a day)
- 8,828 toys sold on average per hour (Over seven times the amount an average person blinks per hour)
- 147 toys sold on average per minute (Eight times the amount of breaths an average person takes per minute)
- If you lined up 100 million Skylanders toys you could go from California to Maine (3.218 miles)
- If you lined up 100 million Skylanders toys it would equal over 68,000 statues of Liberty stacked high
Now that you have memorised all of these impressive comparisons you’ll be able to share your knowledge with your kids who play the game (or a mirror-image of yourself if you’re really cool).
