Snapshot, a 3D puzzle platformer from indie studio Retro Affect, will be coming to the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3 (featuring cross-platform saves) this fall.

The game stars a robot named Pic who powers on for the first time in an abandoned warehouse. He has no idea why he was built so he wanders into the outside world. Pic has a camera that can “capture” and remove objects and part of the environment. The camera also has the ability to place these captured objects back into the world.

Not only can the camera capture objects and part of the environment, it can also capture the momentum of an object. Capture a falling snowball; flip the picture upside down, release the object and the snowball will now fall upwards. This effect can also be used to send enemies’ projectiles back at them.
