Polish your sniper and get ready for more slo-mo X-Ray views of cracking skulls. Independent developer and publisher Rebellion has announced that Sniper Elite 4 is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year.
This will be the first time a game in the series – which has sold 10 million copies – is being developed solely for next-gen hardware.
Boasting native 1080p performance on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Sniper Elite 4 takes place directly following the events of 2014’s Sniper Elite 3. Continuing with its World War II inspired environment, the game sees agent Karl Fairburne take on a new villain in a quest to free Italy from the grip of fascist control in 1943, and put an end to World War II.
Sniper Elite 4 will ship with a dedicated campaign mode, and co-op and adversarial multiplayer modes. For more on the sharpshooting thrill of Rebellion’s next game, watch the reveal trailer.
