During Sony’s Gamescom press briefing yesterday, the company mentioned that they would be allowing gamers to essentially upgrade their copy of COD: Ghosts from their PS3 consoles to their PS4 consoles and mentioned that doing so would allow gamers to get a “significantly discount price” from buying the game for both consoles.

Those who buy a copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts on PS3 will be able to upgrade to a PS4 version (digital) for a “limited time” which has a suggested retail cost of £10 / $10. However, CEO of Activision Publishing, Eric Hirshberg, also said this applied to the Xbox 360 version to Xbox One version stating:
“Retail programmes, announced by Amazon and GameStop, allow our players to upgrade from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox-One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts for £10 as well.”

Will you be making use of this promotion?
