Last week’s Japanese sales figures have just been released and Sony is the clear winner. The best selling game was the PlayStation 4 exclusive Bloodborne, which sold over 150,000 units in its début week. Sword Art Online: Lost Song for the PlayStation Vita came is second with almost 140,000 copies sold and the PlayStation 3 version of One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 came in third. Of the 20 top-selling games last week, 16 of them were for PlayStation platforms.

Sony’s software dominance was reflected in the hardware sales. The PlayStation 4 was the best selling platform, shifting 45,000 units. The PlayStation Vita came in third place with sales of 27,000, which is 7,000 more than last week. Nintendo’s 3DS managed a respectable 31,000 units sold but the Wii U is still struggling, selling less than 7,000 units.
