Sony PlayStation Plus Facelift to be Revealed Soon

After rumors of a new offering it seems truth has come to light on Plus. Redesigned to entice more gamers to subscribe to the service, Sony is apparently planning to reveal the new PlayStation Plus design at E3. Sony is looking to offer Plus users ‘top tier’ titles for the fantastic price of $0 and incorporate a merger with the service for the PS Vita. The Vita version of Plus will contain Vita-only games (which makes sense…) as well as cloud services and DLC offerings that won’t require gamers to access through their PS3 consoles.

Ross McGrath, Content Manager for PS Plus stated via his Twitter account, “By the way, if you don’t have a PS+ subscription, now is the time to get one. For real. Just get 3 months if you aren’t sure. Trust me”. For real.

There is talk that this could indeed lead to a change in the PlayStation Store’s look, as Sony seems to wish to create greater integration and services offered, including a ‘PC web store’ which would rival Marketplace.

Cloud platform service, Gaikai, mentioned to Eurogamer, “some major announcements (are) in store for E3 that have the potential to change the future of video games, game consoles and how we play”. Mysterious! Stay tuned for more information!
