Bandai has announced an expansion to God Eater 2 called God Eater 2: Rage Burst is coming to PS Vita and PS4. This expanded edition will include new characters, monsters and missions. God Eater 2 launched as a PS Vita exclusive in Japan on November 13 last year but has not been brought to the West. This is not surprising as the original God Eater was never localised either, with Bandai Namco choosing to wait for the expanded edition, God Eater: Burst. The announcement of Rage Burst therefore give hope that the West might be able to play God Eater 2 after all.
The God Eater franchise is an action RPG series that features 4 player co-op. The IP is quickly growing in popularity, with God Eater 2 selling over 700,000 copies in Japan alone. Alongside the Rage Burst expansion, producer Yusuke Tomizawa also hinted that a God Eater 3 was being planned.
God Eater 2: Rage Burst will be given a full unveiling at the Tokyo Game Show later this month.
