Yikes. It’s been reported that Sony is experiencing difficulties in maintaining support from companies who were initially interested in the Vita. Shuhei Yoshida, head of Worldwide Studios, spoke to Official PS Magazine about the issue.

“We’re having a more difficult time than we had anticipated in terms of getting support from third-party publishers,” he was quoted as saying to the magazine, “but that’s our job. We will continue to talk to development communities and publishing partners and tell them why Vita can provide a great experience for the IPs they have.”

Yoshida remained optimistic though, stating that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Vita title will be able to demonstrate more of the console’s strength and hopefully encourage greater support for it.
