Official invites have been sent out for Sony’s E3 2014 conference. The invites reveal that Sony’s event will begin at 18:00 PT on Monday June 9. This means that the two big console giants will be facing off against each other as Microsoft will hold their media briefing at 9:30 PT, also on June 9. However, they won’t be the only companies to hold press events on that Monday. EA’s conference will start at 12:00 PT and be followed by Ubisoft’s conference at 15:00 PT. As with E3 2013, Nintendo has declined to host a press conference and will instead hold a Digital Event the following day on June 10.
Sony didn’t announce how long their press event would run for but it is expected to be close to 2 hours. John Koller, Sony’s head of hardware marketing, has promised that ”there’s a huge and significant amount of games coming this year to the PlayStation 4. We’ll be showing a lot of those and it is going to be an exciting moment for many people. I can officially confirm that what is coming next is really spectacular”. Whilst most of Sony’s focus is on the PS4 there will hopefully be some announcements for PS Vita owners too.
