Soulcalibur Returns with Soulcalibur VI

<p>The Game Awards were host to a handful of announcements last night and new trailers for already announced games&comma; but one of the bigger reveals was a franchise returning&period; <em>Soulcalibur VI <&sol;em>was unveiled with an announcement trailer&comma; which you can watch below&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><iframe width&equals;"560" height&equals;"315" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;youtube&period;com&sol;embed&sol;m1sdAmSq4vs" frameborder&equals;"0" gesture&equals;"media" allow&equals;"encrypted-media" allowfullscreen><&sol;iframe><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The weapon-based fighter hasn&&num;8217&semi;t had a main entry since 2012 on the PS3 and Xbox 360&period; This will release on PlayStation 4&comma; Xbox One&comma; and Steam for PC owners in 2018&period; Fans of the original game will be excited to know that this entry will revisit the 16th century and the events of the original <em>Soulcalibur<&sol;em>&period; Both Mitsurugi and Sophitia are currently the only two announced fighters for the game&comma; but there will be a cast of new and returning characters for players to fight with&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>It sounds like <em>Soulcalibur VI <&sol;em>will also lean towards a more casual audience with simplistic controls which means &&num;8220&semi;<em>gamers of all skill levels can jump into the action and decimate the competition&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;em>&comma; according to Mark Religioso&comma; Brand Manager for Bandai Namco Entertainment America&period; I&&num;8217&semi;ve always found the <em>Soulcalibur <&sol;em>franchise to be more casual-friendly than most fighters&comma; and its good to see that the series will continue this tradition&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The game will also feature a new gameplay system called Reversal Edge&period; This will allow opponents to &&num;8220&semi;<em>clash against each other and follow-up with powerful counterattacks based on their opponent’s actions<&sol;em>&period;&&num;8221&semi; Online and local versus is to be expected&comma; as well as the ability to fight AI opponents outside of the story&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Are you excited for the return of <em>Soulcalibur<&sol;em>&quest; Let us know in the comments below what you thought of <em>Soulcalibur VI<&sol;em>&&num;8216&semi;s announcement&excl;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Source&colon; Bandai Namco Entertainment America Press Release<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;
