Square Enix is attending PAX East 2020, and has a rather exciting lineup of games prepared to show off at the convention. PAX East runs from February 27th to March 1 at the Boston Convention Center. The lineup this year consists of Final Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy XIV Online and Outriders. Outriders being the upcoming FPS from Bulletstorm developer People Can Fly.

Square Enix has announced playable demos and developer panels as part of their presentation. And this will likely be the first chance the public gets a chance to get some hands-on experience with the much hyped FF7 Remake.

One of the highlighted events is a signing session with FF7‘s voice actors. This includes Britt Baron (Tifa), John Eric Bentley (Barret), Briana White (Aerith), Erica Lindbeck (Jessie) and Gideon Emery (Biggs). The first sessions will take place Saturday February 29th from 11 am to 12 pm, and 2:30 pm to 4 pm EST. Additional sessions take place on Sunday March 1 from 11 am to 12 pm, and then 3 pm to 4:30 pm EST. A limited number of tickets will be available at Booth #12011 on respective mornings at 10:30 am (EST).

An epic photo opportunity will also be available, as fans can take photos with Cloud’s iconic Hardy Daytona motorcycle. And there will be giveaways of double-sided posters featuring artwork of Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s cast.

Final Fantasy XIV Online

For fans of Final Fantasy XIV Online, there will be opportunities at Booth #15010. Attendees can take on the Ruby Weapon challenge. This recently got added to the game in the 5.2 patch. Those who emerge victorious will receive a “I Beat Ruby Weapon” t-shirt.

There will also be an opportunity to snap photos in front of a backdrop. While posing with weapon replicas from the Shadowbringers expansion.

As for giveaways, Square Enix has promised double-sided posters featuring artwork from the Final Fantasy XIV Online jobs. These are drawn by Lead Character Concept Artist Yusuke Mogi. Postcards from the upcoming mobile tactical RPG game “War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius” will also be given away.

There will be a developer live stream as well, showing off artwork from the game. It will be hosted on the official Final Fantasy XIV Online Twitch channel on Saturday February 29 at 8 PM EST.

Outriders

The upcoming FPS from developer People Can Fly will have a developer panel on Saturday February 29 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm EST at the Albatross Theatre. This will be a chance to ask the developers questions about the upcoming game. As well as gathering some information on the information’s story and setting.

The game is expected to launch Holiday 2020 on PS5, XBox Series X, XBox One, PS4 and PC. It’s so far stated to be a one to three player co-op RPG shooter, set in a dark future. It’s definitely an interesting title, given People Can Fly has been rather silent since their release of Bulletstorm in 2011.

Additionally, attendees can visit Booth #12011 to grab some merchandise. This includes t-shirts, acrylic stands of characters from Final Fantasy XIV Online Shadowbringers and the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game.

So if you haven’t already, signing up for PAX East 2020 might be a really good idea if you’re a hardcore Square Enix fan.
