Developers The Game Bakers have revealed that gamers who buy Squids Odyssey on the 3DS will get a Wii U version for free. However, this offer is only available in Europe. The studio revealed that it was Nintendo of Europe themselves who approached them with the idea. Yet Nintendo of America has said that their organisation isn’t ready to support it yet.
Cross-Buy is already a major feature of the PlayStation platforms but Nintendo is lagging behind. The publisher has said that they want to have a proper unified account structure in the future and this seems to be an important step forward.
Squids Odyssey is available on the 3DS eShop for £9.99/ €12.99.
