Alongside its recently announced Battlefield: Hardline news, EA put the icing on the cake for its quarterly earnings report and provided fans with the latest word on its Star Wars happenings. Star Wars: Battlefront is tentatively dated for Holiday of 2015.
As it was revealed at its Q2 conference call, EA stated that Battlefront will precede their impending release of Battlefield 5 for the last quarter of 2016. Star Wars: Episode VII, meanwhile, is anticipating a Dec. 18th, 2015 release.

Originally announced via a pre-rendered title-card sequence, news on Star Wars: Battlefront has since been kept in the dark. Only recently has the company followed up word on the game with a behind-the-scenes of sorts with the folks at DICE Studios in Sweden about their time exploring George Lucas’s sci-fi classic while making the game. On the same subject, Lucas Arts’ recently leaked its now defunct vision for Battlefront III in some pre-alpha footage online, including a variety of gameplay and surface-to-air combat selections.
Star Wars: Battlefront is expected to launch for new-generation consoles and PC next year, though we’ll keep an eye out for further details as they stream in next year.
