<p>The first digital expansion for the now free-to-play <em>Star Wars: The Old Republic</em> will be released in spring 2013, according to BioWare.</p>
<p>The expansion is titled <em>Rise of the Hutt Cartel</em> and will raise the level cap to 55 while also including content such as a new story, a new planet named Makeb, and fully-voiced cinematic conversations.</p>
<p><em>Rise of the Hutt Cartel</em> is priced at $9.99 for subscribers, while non-subscribers will have to pay $19.99. Five days of early access is offered if you pre-order the expansion before 7th January.</p>
