Mere decades after they flew onto PCs, Star Wars is powering up its beloved starfighter sim games on modern PCs for inducing a healthy round of nostalgic nerd-gasms.

As it was leaked on NeoGaf, there’s now word that special editions of the original ’94 and ’98 versions of Star Wars: X-Wing and Star Wars: Tie Fighter are hitting computers with enhanced graphics or improved sound. The editions come with each of the game’s expansions courtesy of Good Old Games, each for $10 each.

Similar reports claim that a wealth of old games from the defunct Lucas Arts are coming to GoG, including Knights of the Old Republic, Sam &; Max, and Indiana Jones &; The Fate of Atlantis, though all three have been available for years on Steam.
