After weeks of anticipation the annual Steam Summer Sale has started. Deals are once again flowing through the online service, albeit later than usual. The Steam Summer Sale is famous for placing large discounts on copious amounts of PC exclusive games. Whether it is a single game, or an entire collection of a developers content, the budget buyer can attain them for as much as 80% off the retail price.
The employees at Steam have introduced a few new features this year in order to make the sale more valuable to the consumers. Gamers can now vote on certain games in order to determine which games go on sale, and even how much of a discount they are tagged with. Steam has also introduced “Flash Sales”. These are sales that happen within a short amount of time, and change within hours in order to keep the sale fresh, and attract more buyers.
The sale runs on the Steam online store from July 12th through July 22nd. Gamers are advised to check the store regularly in order to receive the best deals.
