Super Monday Night Combat Developer Creates Kickstarter for New Game Entitled: Planetary Annihilation

Uber Entertainment have begun a Kickstarter campaign for a hope-to-be upcoming project titled Planetary Annihilation. The game will be based on the cult classic Total Annihilation, and will be an RTS focusing on gigantic battles between forces.

The game will not only be inspired by Total Annihilation, Uber Entertainment was originally founded by members of the Supreme Commander development team, with the leader being the former director of Total Annihilation.

The trailer for the game shows the game’s over the top nature. Just destroying your enemies is not enough it seems, as you have the ability to actually call in gigantic asteroids to fall upon your enemy, releasing their petty souls in a burst of cataclysmic fire and flame.

So far, the Kickstarter campaign has reach $270,000 out of the $900,000 goal. With 28 days to go, it seems more than likely they will reach, if not exceed their goal and get the all clear to start real production on the game.
