<p><strong>Update: </strong>Nintendo Treehouse Livestream over.</p>
<p><strong>Original Story:</strong> As announced during Nintendo&#8217;s ongoing eight hour live-steam, Super Smash Bros. for 3DS is getting a playable demo very soon.</p>
<p>The demo hits this <strong>Sep. 19th</strong> and includes five playable characters: Mario, Link, Pikachu, Villager, and Mega Man, and the Battlefield stage. It includes local multiplayer, and can only be opened 30 times, so fight wisely.</p>
<p>As long as you&#8217;re a Platinum Club member, Nintendo players who registered 3DS software or hardware between <strong>July 1st</strong>, <strong>2013</strong> and <strong>June 30th</strong>, <strong>2014</strong> are currently eligible to receive four codes for early access to the demo.</p>
<p><em>Super Smash Bros. for 3DS</em> arrives on 3DS <strong>Oct. 3rd</strong> for North America and Europe, releasing tomorrow, <strong>Sep. 13th,</strong> for the Japanese mainland. A release for <em>Super Smash Bros. for Wii U</em> has yet to be announced.</p>
