Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Switch Announced at E3 2018

<p>Nintendo presented their E3 Direct today and the game they focused on is <em>Super Smash Bros&period; Ultimate<&sol;em> for Switch&period; It seems an odd choice to base 25 minutes of their time solely on<em> SSB<&sol;em>&period; A major piece upside of this game is the ability to use both new and old GameCube controllers &lpar;with an adapter&rpar; to battle&period; Amiibo collectors may use their <em>Smash<&sol;em> amiibo in the game in addition to the roster&&num;8217&semi;s fighter&&num;8217&semi;s amiibo&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<h3>The Characters<&sol;h3>&NewLine;<p><em>Breath of the Wild<&sol;em> players will be excited to learn Link&&num;8217&semi;s main outfit is his Championship&&num;8217&semi;s tunic&period; Link&&num;8217&semi;s weapons also are from his latest adventure&period; Looking closely at the video&comma; we can see the quality of <em>Ultimate<&sol;em>&period; Clearly&comma; lots of love and time were poured into creating<em> SSB<&sol;em> for the Switch&period; A total of 65 characters&comma; new assist trophies and a few new stages are in this Direct&period; A completely new character to the entire series&&num;8217&semi; roster is Ridley from the <em>Metroid<&sol;em> series&period;  The Inkling from <em>Splatoon <&sol;em>will make her debut to the <em>Smash<&sol;em> field too&excl; With only two new characters are introduced&comma; we can only hope that more will be announced before the winter release&period;<em> Super Smash Bros&period; Ultimate<&sol;em> for the Nintendo Switch releases on December 7&comma; 2018&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><amp-youtube layout&equals;"responsive" width&equals;"500" height&equals;"281" data-videoid&equals;"L93H7YC-83o" title&equals;"Super Smash Bros&period; Ultimate - E3 2018 - Nintendo Switch"><a placeholder href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;youtu&period;be&sol;L93H7YC-83o"><img src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;i&period;ytimg&period;com&sol;vi&sol;L93H7YC-83o&sol;hqdefault&period;jpg" layout&equals;"fill" object-fit&equals;"cover" alt&equals;"Super Smash Bros&period; Ultimate - E3 2018 - Nintendo Switch"><&sol;a><&sol;amp-youtube><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Looking closely at the video&comma; we can see the quality of <em>Ultimate<&sol;em>&period; Clearly&comma; lots of love and time were poured into creating<em> SSB<&sol;em> for the Switch&period; We can&&num;8217&semi;t really blame Nintendo for wanting to spend so much of their time slot on this one game&period; It is a long time to wait for Switch owners with very little major titles releasing now through December&period; There is a possibility of  Nintendo is planning to reveal more games later this summer through their Direct videos&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Visit us again for the latest news about <em>SSB Ultimate<&sol;em> and everything E3&excl;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Source&colon; Nintendo Press Room<&sol;p>&NewLine;
